Mathillo Bhurundi-A Hydropower Project is located within Annapurna Rural Municipality of Kaski District and Modi Rural Municipality of Parbat, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Mathillo Bhurundi-A Hydropower Project is a run-of-river type of hydropower project. It has installed capacity of 9 MW with design discharge of 2.58 m3/sec and rated net head of 412.02 m. The project is capable of delivering 53.30 GWh of energy annually to NEA 132/33 Modi substation at Parbat.

Mr. Ravi Shakya is a seasoned hydropower investor and mechanical engineer with extensive experience in project development, technical management, and infrastructure implementation. Holding a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kathmandu University, he has served in diverse professional roles, including as an Ex-officer of the Nepal Army, technical leader in hydropower projects, training instructor, and lecturer. As Technical-Director of Niko Energy Ltd., he is actively involved in the development of the 9 MW Mathillo Bhurundi-A Small Hydropower Project. His professional expertise, leadership capabilities, and practical experience in engineering, project management, and business operations have contributed significantly to the successful execution and operation of hydropower and commercial ventures in Nepal.
