Mathillo Bhurundi-A Hydropower Project is located within Annapurna Rural Municipality of Kaski District and Modi Rural Municipality of Parbat, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Mathillo Bhurundi-A Hydropower Project is a run-of-river type of hydropower project. It has installed capacity of 9 MW with design discharge of 2.58 m3/sec and rated net head of 412.02 m. The project is capable of delivering 53.30 GWh of energy annually to NEA 132/33 Modi substation at Parbat.

Mr. Prachanda Shivakotee is an experienced hydropower investor and management professional with more than two decades of involvement in Nepal’s Hydropower and Tourism sectors. Mr. Shivakotee has contributed significantly to the development, administration, and promotion of renewable energy projects across the country. He currently serves as the Finance Director of Niko Energy Ltd., which is developing the 9 MW Mathillo Bhurundi-A Hydropower Project in Kaski and Parbat districts. Throughout his career, he has held key leadership positions, including Director of Gaughar Ujjyalo small Hydropower Co. Ltd., Ex. Administration Head of Three Star Hydropower Ltd., and Promoter Shareholder of Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Ltd.. His professional expertise encompasses project administration, financial management, stakeholder coordination, and hydropower project development. With a strong background in both the energy and tourism sectors, Mr. Shivakotee continues to contribute to sustainable infrastructure development and economic growth in Nepal.
