Mr. Jen Lama currently serves as a Board Director of Niko Energy Limited and is the former Chairman of the company. He also serves as a Board Director of Three Star Hydropower Limited, bringing over 18 years of extensive experience in Nepal’s hydropower and energy sector. Throughout his career, he has held several key leadership positions, including Chairman of the 3 MW Lati Khola Hydropower Project, Former Chairman of Niko Engineering Management, and Former Assistant Director of Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited (998 kW). Mr. Lama possesses proven expertise in hydropower project development, strategic planning, corporate governance, project monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and organizational management. He is currently pursuing an MPhil in Conflict, Peace and Development Studies (CPDS) at Tribhuvan University and plans to pursue a PhD in Hydropower Development, further strengthening his knowledge in sustainable development, environmental and regulatory compliance, and community engagement. His international exposure through business engagements across Europe, Russia, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, and the Middle East has enhanced his capabilities in international procurement, technical collaboration, and cross-border business development. A dynamic young social and political leader, Mr. Lama is widely respected for his visionary leadership, strong public relations, and deep-rooted connections with local communities, playing a vital role in advancing sustainable hydropower development and responsible corporate governance in Nepal.
