Mr. Uddhav Raj Shivakotee is a distinguished engineer, infrastructure professional, and hydropower advisor with over 40 years of experience in the construction industry and more than 12 years of involvement in Nepal’s hydropower sector. He is a former Board Director of Niko Energy Limited and currently serves as an Advisor, providing strategic guidance to the company’s overall management, particularly in public relations and stakeholder engagement. A graduate of the Institute of Engineering (IOE), Pulchowk Campus, Mr. Shivakotee was a promoter of the Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Project and previously served as Chairman of Three Star Hydropower Limited. He also advises Gaughar Ujyalo Hydropower Limited and has valuable experience working on Swiss-funded development projects. In addition to his engineering and project management expertise, he has had a distinguished career in journalism, serving as an editor and writer for leading Nepali newspapers, including Nepal Bhumi, Yugbani, and Kantipur, and worked as an Asia Desk Reporter for the BBC alongside renowned journalist Sir Mark Tully. His multidisciplinary experience in engineering, infrastructure development, media, public relations, and community engagement makes him a valuable contributor to the successful development of hydropower projects in Nepal.
